About the Program
The best public management leaders have excellent critical thinking skills and a solid base of diverse knowledge. In this honours-only program, we will help you develop these skills–with an emphasis on social justice, ethics and good governance–so you can excel in today’s dynamic multicultural work environment. In our Public Administration program, you’ll focus on how governments and public organizations develop, manage and deliver services. You’ll learn about policy-making, governance, public finance and management while exploring issues such as ethics, equity and social justice. The program offers opportunities to specialize in areas like policy analysis, management or law and public policy. Through applied learning and real-world experiences, you’ll develop the skills needed to work in the public sector and beyond. If you’re interested in public service and making a difference in communities, this program prepares you for leadership roles in government and related fields.

Applied Learning Opportunities
Public Administration offers hands-on learning through applied coursework and professional experience. You can take on junior consultancy projects or practicum placements with partner organizations, developing solutions to real-world public sector challenges. In-class simulations and exercises based on real scenarios across all levels of government help you build practical policy and decision-making skills. Optional paid co-op opportunities and internships provide valuable experience and professional connections before your graduate. Through experiential learning across your degree, you’ll apply classroom knowledge, develop leadership and analytical skills, and graduate prepared for careers in government, the broader public sector, non-profit organizations as well businesses that frequently interact with governments.
